Article Guidelines
(read before posting)
It is advised for members to follow these guidelines to preserve good environment for E-scapegoat.com online community. ALWAYS COPY YOUR WORK BEFORE SUBMITTING. You can do this by selecting all (Ctrl+A) and copying (Ctrl+C).
- Current language allowed for posting is English (UK and US). We might be adding more languages in future. In case your article contains words (of food, place, or item names) that cannot be described in English, it is allowed to replace them with the language you know (provided you include a short description that may be understood in bracket, images, or a link to an external web page that explains more about them).
- Images must follow the maximum of 440px width size (to fit the article column size), of JPG, JPEG, or GIF formats. It is recommended to add watermarks or any kind of marks to protect your images.
- Articles may not be treated as personal blog, therefore:
- there should be no abbreviations, acronyms (without the full words written at first time), or smilies,
- articles must not be too short of contents but you may add images with descriptions and explanations,
- you must perform unbiased tone and neutral expression in your writing (if you are writing based on your personal views and judgments),
- do not exaggerate or overstate the information you include in your article.
In case you wish your writing to be this way, we will move it into Personal Blog section that can be accessed by members only.
- Articles may contain any of the following:
- personal experiences from your life or of the place you live, the people you know or you live with (they must be informed first),
- places you have been to during your vacations and such,
- products that you use that are good for you, and you wish to share your stories with others (provided you include the links to their company websites to protect their copyrights) without the intention of advertising them,
- images of items that possess historical or story values that worth to be shared with others,
- information of the programs you have been using (softwares, online games, etc.) that you like (you must include the links to their websites, and they must be aware of this) without any external links for downloading them,
- linking to another page of E-scapegoat.com website, such as members' articles.
- You must not copy and paste other people's work as your own. Be aware that should you need to copy some parts, you must cite or quote them (with MLA [Modern Language Association] or APA [American Psychological Association] styles or any that you know) or put references at the end of your article. Feel free to contact me for help on this.
- Choose the right category for your article. For photo gallery, choose Section: E-scapegoat and Category: Gallery. For article, choose Section: E-scapegoat and Category: Articles.
